Aspiring Faringdon-based performing arts students got a taste of stardom when they entertained friends and family on stage in London’s legendary West End as part of a nationwide initiative.
The Shaftesbury Theatre welcomed students from 16 Stagecoach Performing Arts schools across the country who performed a piece from the classic musical Singin’ in the Rain.
James Barker, Stagecoach Performing Arts Faringdon principal, said: “For the children to be able to perform at the Shaftesbury Theatre is a dream come true, whether they dream of being West End stars or dance, sing and act for fun.
“It was a magical day for all concerned, with the students gaining the wonderful experience of performing in the West End.
The pupils put all their efforts into an astounding performance, which had everyone on their feet, cheering.”
Notable alumni of Stagecoach Performing Arts include Emma Watson, Jamie Bell and Tuppence Middleton.
