Henley Hawks succumbed 19-0 to a struggling Wimbledon side during a lacklustre rain sodden Saturday afternoon in the National League 2 South.
The visitors took the lead early on as Henley struggled to cope with the committed Wimbledon performance.
After a finely poised opening period, the deadlock was broken when fullback Matt Gilbert converted on 15 minutes to put the away side in front.
Daniel Laventure extended the lead shortly afterwards crossing the line with Henley’s prop Brad Cook in the sin bin.
Henley currently sit nine places above Wimbledon in the league table but there was no gulf in class on the pitch as the second half got under way.
After Cook suffered a head injury, Hawks were left with 14 men on the field and had to resort to uncontested scrums.
The contest was all but ended when Ben Brooks put Wimbledon even further out of reach on 60 minutes to cap a fine display to move the away side a little closer to league safety.
Wimbledon’s Dylan Flashman was named the man of the match in front of the 210-strong crowd at the Dry Leas ground.
The result means Henley stay sixth on 62 points ahead of Saturday’s away trip to Redruth in Cornwall.
