A convincing first half performance from Wheatley helped them through to the final of the Oxfordshire County Shield after swatting aside visitors Blue Boar 11-5.
The BBO Premiership side earned a deserved victory on the balance of play, the men in purple dominating the opening period and scoring a try through scrum-half Jack Taylor on their way to an 8-0 half time lead.
Boar finished the half with 13 men with two binned for breakdown offences.
The away side’s backline gave a better account for itself during a more evenly contested second period but, despite pulling a try back, were unable to mount a comeback.
Wheatley will play Littlemore in the final at Iffley Road, date to be confirmed.
Wheatley return to league action with a trip to Crowthorne on Saturday. Also in the BBO Premiership, Abingdon travel to Bletchley, Littlemore play away at Chesham and Didcot host Slough.
Meanwhile, Chinnor surrendered their perch at the top of National League 2 South after losing their first game of the season 35-20 at home to London Irish Wild Geese on Saturday.
Cinderford replaced them at the top, beating Henley 34-6 at home.
Saturday sees Henley, who remain sixth, host Tonbridge Juddian and Chinnor travel to third-placed Redingensians.
