Fans will soon see a ‘completely different side’ under Karl Robinson, according to goalkeeper Simon Eastwood.
The shot-stopper picked up just his second clean sheet in 15 games after the goalless draw against Oldham on Saturday – but he has been impressed with the new man in charge.
Eastwood, who was openly unhappy under the previous regime, has taken to the former Charlton Athletic boss, even though the club is still searching for the first win of his reign.
The 28-year-old keeper said: “He’s been brilliant. He’s a nice guy but he has good man management.
“He’s straight as they come. He tells you where you’re at and the players have taken that on board and hopefully we can get out of the trouble we’re in.
“We will see a completely new side and build for next season.”
The former Blackburn Rovers man was content after the twitchy draw with Oldham. It was a missed opportunity to edge away from the League One drop zone but avoiding defeat was the most important thing.
He said: “I didn’t have too much to do personally and I don’t think their keeper had much to do either.
“The game could have gone either way. It was a fair result.”
