Oxfordshire-based hotel group Travelodge is to recruit 1,000 new staff as it prepares to open new hotels in six UK locations.
The positions include openings for managers, housekeepers, receptionists, bar staff and cleaners.
The bulk of the new jobs will be at new hotels in London, Stockport, East Grinstead, Kings Lynn, Andover and Peterhead.
Around 50 jobs are to be created at its head office in Thame while hundreds of the new roles will be posted at existing premises.
Travelodge operations director Debbie Husband said: “Joining a hotel company opens the door to training, career progression and even roles in new countries.
“We are recruiting for key roles across our UK hotels and at head office.”
The company employs more than 10,000 staff and has over 530 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain.
Travelodge announced in February that it was planning to open six more hotels in Oxfordshire, after its new £6.5 million building was unveiled to the public in Abingdon Road, Oxford, in December.
The 83-room hotel next to Redbridge Park and Ride was Travelodge’s 524th, and created 23 jobs.
The chain added at the time that it wanted to open hotels in Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot, Witney, Banbury and Henley.
