West Oxfordshire residents will get their chance to share thoughts on rail services in the area at a meeting hosted by Witney’s MP.
Robert Courts will chair the Ask the GWR event with representatives from Great Western Railway and Network Rail fielding questions from the public.
A government spokesperson said: “In light of the Government’s recent decision to extend the GWR franchise and the resulting consultation that is currently under way, Robert knows that it is more important than ever that residents have a say on what they want to see from GWR going forward.
“That is why Robert wants to know what you think, and wants you to be able to speak to GWR directly.”
The event is described as an “open and relaxed conversation” where attendees will be able to raise concerns and questions about the railways serving the area.
Passenger numbers have reportedly trebled in recent years at the nearby Hanborough station with plans to build a new ticket office, waiting room, toilet and small shop on the site.

The event will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Charlbury Memorial Hall today.
