POLICE officers left a light-hearted “sorry we missed you” note after a tip-off led them to a cannabis plantation.
Thames Valley Police found the drugs in woodland between Wolvercote Mill Stream and the A34 at 6pm on Friday.
After digging up the plantation officers left a ‘sorry you were out’ notice that read: “Ooops! Sorry we missed each other, but feel free to call me on 101 so we can discuss a deal.”
It was signed: “Lots of love, TVP xx.”
The force tweeted that they had left the note because “#WeveGotManners”.
The drugs have been disposed of. No-one has been arrested.
