Officers are going door-to-door in Didcot as police step up patrols after burglars smashed their way into two homes.
Thames Valley Police say they are linking the incidents, both in the Northbourne area of the town, in which games consoles and jewellery were stolen.
Offenders broke windows to enter the two properties between 11.30am and 7pm on April 19.
Police are also linking an attempted burglary in the same area to the incidents.
Offenders tried to break panels in a door between 3.30pm on April 18 and 7am on April 19.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward but have not released the names of roads targeted.
Investigating officer DC Daniel Tibble, based at Abingdon police station, said: “We are currently conducting door-to-door enquiries and residents can expect to see more of our officers in the area.
“I would like to remind the public to remain vigilant when doors and windows are left open.
“Anything left within easy reach of these may be taken by opportunistic burglars.”
Contact police on 101 quoting reference number 43180117811 with information about any of the incidents.
