Oxfordshire’s MPs joined forces to tackle the issue of NHS staffing shortages.
Oxford West and Abingdon MP Layla Moran secured a debate at the House of Commons on Tuesday to discuss ways to drive recruitment and retention of NHS staff in the county.
During the debate, Banbury MP Victoria Prentis emphasised the need to be creative with recruitment ideas, have greater clarity when considering the domino effect of staffing shortages and communicate more openly and transparently.
Speaking after the debate, Mrs Prentis said: “We need to think outside the box and tackle the problems together. We are in urgent need of a vision for our health service and must keep up the pressure.”
