A man who ‘viciously’ attacked and broke another man’s arm using a wooden pole has been sent to prison.
John Bisson, 32, of Sage Walk, Oxford, was sentenced to 10 years for causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Bisson attacked the victim, a 42-year-old man, with a wooden pole, breaking the man’s arm in Railway Lane, Oxford in November 2015.
He was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday having been found guilty after a six-day trial at the same court in March.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Emma Barras-Thompson of Oxford CID said: “This was a vicious attack and the length of the prison sentence shows how seriously this kind of violence is treated by the judicial system.”
