Wheatley fought back to earn a losing bonus point at Abingdon in the BBO Premiership on Saturday.
Jordan Hook was on hand to unlock the Abingdon defence early on for Wheatley after pulling clear, with Aaron Laman adding the conversion for 7-0.
Abingdon came back into the game, but a penalty on the stroke of half time saw Laman add the three points for a 10-8 lead.
The second half was a different story as a resilient Abingdon dictated play to end the scoring at 21-15 to the home team.
Elsewhere, Didcot registered a resounding 81-12 home victory against Hungerford.
