A gargantuan second half effort from high-flying Littlemore overturned a hefty 16-point half time deficit to shock Wheatley.
Wheatley gave their visitors no time to settle and were 3-0 ahead within two minutes when Aaron Laman slotted a penalty for a high tackle.
The away side hit back through an Arron Ward unconverted try, but that’s as good as it got for Littlemore as Wheatley ran away with the first half.
Laman added another two penalties before Jack Taylor crashed over after an impressive 75 metre run. Laman added the extras.
Laman had a try disallowed but Jack Atkinson dived over before half time for an unconverted try and a 21-5 lead.
But then the fight back began.
Wheatley wouldn’t score again as their fired-up visitors, inspired by their half time chat, scored an unanswered 20 second-half points to win 25-21 and bag a hard-earned bonus point.
Elsewhere in Saturday’s BBO Premier fixtures, Didcot narrowly lost 6-5 at home to bottom club Crowthorne while struggling Abingdon were thrashed 73-12 at Tadley.
This Saturday sees Wheatley (7th) travel to Abingdon (10th) and Didcot (8th) visit Hungerford (6th).
