A magical fusion of art, light and culture will light up Didcot on Saturday as the town prepares for its first lantern procession.
The theme of the festival is The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, which Cornerstone theatre is bringing to the stage this Christmas.
Children, young people and adults from local schools and community groups have been busy getting crafty learning how to build lanterns.
The procession will begin with a bang at 5.30pm as The Noise Orchestra lead the parade playing lively percussive rhythms.
Lantern bearers will hold their lights high to illuminate the streets of Didcot and the finale will take place outside the Cornerstone where The Indian Dance will entertain onlookers.
Those planning to follow the procession are advised to join the lantern bearers and orchestra from 5pm outside Sainsbury’s at the bottom of the amphitheatre steps at the Orchard Centre.
