Honours were shared in the Oxfordshire derby as Wheatley and Littlemore played out a dramatic 19-19 draw at the Oxford Academy.
The push for promotion is still on for both clubs who were competing for second in the league with Tadley hot on the heels of both sides.
Current second-placed favourites Littlemore were under pressure early on as Wheatley took the lead within two minutes.
Wheatley winger Toby Butler finished off the move of the game after a stunning team try following a quick break down the left flank.
Sanda Mpanza and James Neal were the star performers in an almost faultless first half with the biggest blow coming via a knee injury forcing Michael Ridge off the field.
The second half proved a more even contest as Littlemore frustrated the purple men after a dominant first half.
Wheatley eventually succumbed to a succession of penalties and a minute before time, Littlemore crashed over with the conversion to secure the draw.
The result leaves Littlemore in second on 52 points, 15 ahead of Wheatley in fourth.
Elsewhere, bottom club Abingdon thrashed Tadley 22-0 ahead of trips to Wheatley on April 7 and Littlemore on April 14.
