The much-anticipated opening of Nando’s in Didcot has now been confirmed by the developer.
The £50million Orchard Centre expansion will include 21 shops and seven cafes and restaurants.
Phase II of the centre will also deliver an additional 325 parking spaces bringing the total at the retail park to 875.
South Oxfordshire District Council leader John Cotton welcomed the news.
He said: “With the expansion of the Orchard Centre and ongoing plans for the garden town, Didcot is fast becoming a genuine destination for shoppers and visitors alike.
“We are delighted Nando’s is coming to Didcot and know the restaurant will be extremely popular with many coming into the town centre.”
Developer Hammerson said attracting brands such as Nando’s is testament to the appeal of the Orchard Centre.
Phase II to due to open in the spring.
Hammerson apologised last month for prematurely confirming to us that Nando’s had agreed to move into the new site.
