A college and its apprentices are celebrating after being recognised for several prestigious awards.
Abingdon & Witney College has been nominated for awards at both a regional and national level, including the inaugural awards at this year’s national FE Week annual apprenticeship conference (AAC).
The college is up for three AAC awards on March 5 – Outstanding contribution to the development of apprenticeships at a national level and Apprenticeship Provider of the Year at both regional and national level.
The college is also hoping to win the Training Provider of the Year category for the second year in a row.
Three apprentices have also been recognised for their achievements at the 2018 Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards on Thursday next week.
Principal Di Batchelor asid it was fantastic to have started 2018 in the same fashion as how it finished 2017.
Lauren Livingstone, a care manager, and Trina White, a senior carer in elderly care and accommodation are up for the Higher Apprenticeship Award.
Alanta Hissey-Powell, who is an apprentice healthcare assistant is up for the special recognition award.
