Three children were taken to hospital after a car and a van collided head-on in Standlake.
The smash happened on Abingdon Road, near Witney, just after 2pm on Wednesday last week.
South Central Ambulance Service said five patients were assessed.
One adult was taken to Witney Community Hospital with minor injuries while three children were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington. The children’s injuries are not thought to be serious. Another adult did not require hospital treatment.
Two fire engines from Witney and a specialist rescue vehicle from Kidlington fire station attended.
Incident commander, crew manager Chris Rowe said: “On arrival we were faced with two vehicles that had collided head on. The occupants were being cared for by local residents.
“The incident would have been far worse if the occupants in the vehicles had not been wearing seatbelts. I would urge people to always wear seatbelts and ensure they have the correct car seats, in good condition, for any child using their vehicle.”
