Oxford RL let a half time lead slip as they ended the campaign with a disappointing 28-14 defeat at North Wales Crusaders.
The Blues made a positive start and tries from Matthew Davies and Jordan Gill, fresh from a four-try haul the previous week, gave the visitors a 10-6 advantage at the interval.
But the home side fought back with four tries after the break at the Queensway Stadium.
It all went wrong for Oxford in Wrexham at the start of the second period.
North Wales hooker James Dandy scored within three minutes of the restart before Dale Bloomfield stretched the lead on 50 minutes.
Dandy added his second try of the afternoon on 67 minutes when he exploited Oxford’s numerical disadvantage as James Cryer was in the sin bin.
Cryer made amends with a try but Alex Davidson had the final word when he darted over the whitewash with a minute remaining.
Having finished in the bottom half of the regular Kingstone Press League 1 campaign, the Blues finished fifth in the Kingstone Press League 1 Shield.
